We are celebrating 10 years of business this month! We’ll be sharing a series called “10 Things You Didn’t Know About 101 Management” that we hope you’ll enjoy. Kicking it off with #1, here’s a message from our Head Boss Lady, Co-Founder and CEO, Emi Melker: 

“THANK YOU to every one of you for being a part of the last ten years – whether you simply offered a “like” on social media or you were one of our incredible clients, I appreciate you!  I started this company because of a simple question from my husband –  “why are you running someone else’s company when you could have your own?” This lit a fire in me to create a place of business where I wanted to wake up every day, enjoy work, and have no limit to the success I could achieve. I’m forever grateful to all of our employees and clients who have trusted us to create a better online identity. Cheers to 10 years!”

101 Management’s Co-Founder and CEO, Emi Melker disliked the corporate world and all of the outdated rules that came with it. She wanted to work from the comfort of her home office and wear PJs to work if she so-desired.

“I don’t believe that a person needs to have a set schedule and a set wardrobe in order to succeed. Success comes from a drive within, regardless of rules.”

101 Management has been fortunate to have never used traditional advertising to gain leads. Every single one of our clients has been referral-based. This shows that we go above and beyond for our clients –  so much so that they continue to refer us more business.

Of the multitude of marketing services offered at 101 Management, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Social Media Management are the most widely requested. SEO was the very first service offered, at a time when getting to the top of Google was as easy as listing your business name as “Best Pizza NYC” on Google Maps. Those days are long gone!!

The road to 101 wasn’t always marketing… Co-Founder and CEO, Emi Melker’s past job titles included: Model, Saint Leo University Cheerleading Coach, Lifeguard, Tutor, Real Estate Intern, Gymnastics Coach, Tanning Salon assistant (sorry to my skin), and probably a few others that she “claims” to not remember.

101 Management has helped over 250 clients and had 25 employees in 10 years of business, adding more every day. Thank you all for being part of our company’s success over the past 10 years!

G. Love was one of our very first clients… 10 years running! Garrett, and manager Jason Brown, have known our Co-Founder, Scott Melker, for over 25 years. Scott was their intern in 1998! Since starting, we have managed G’s many ventures including his latest NFT projects. Co-Founder and CEO, Emi Melker says, “I get so excited when I see that G’s calling me. He’s always incredibly positive and has a new idea for us to work together on. Watching his career and his beautiful family grow through the years has been really special. I’m honored to call him my friend.”

The 101 Management name was originally coined and incorporated for Co-Founder, Scott Melker’s hit Philadelphia magazine, 101 Magazine. Once the magazine was sold to another company, 101 Management Inc. eventually sat idle until Emi created the digital marketing brand. Here are a few of the first 101 designs.

101 Management has been a remote business for all 10 years of its existence. Our employees are located all over the world– throughout Florida, New York City, Baltimore, Providence, Atlanta, Houston, Tulsa, Rome, and London.
